The Information Technology Security team ensures that safeguards for the
protection, integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data and
systems are integrated into and support the missions of NASA. HITSS
develops and documents management, operational, and technical IT
security procedures and controls for all services provided to NASA HQ.
For each service, HITSS integrates the IT security procedures and
control measures into the full life cycle. Tests and reviews of these
procedures and controls are conducted for adequacy and compliance.
